Dr. Katy Patrick, DPT, CCRT

About the Doctor:

Dr. Katy graduated in 2011 from Loma Linda University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She holds 8+ years of clinical experience in a variety of settings, and has completed certifications in Myofascial Decompression, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Kinesiotaping and is a 200 hour certified Yoga Instructor. Dr. Katy has extensive experience with orthopedic, geriatric, post surgical, sport specific and chronic pain populations.

In 2018 Katy graduated from the Canine Rehab Institute as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and began to pursue her dream to combine her love for dogs with her passion for rehabilitation medicine. Since opening Northern Colorado Canine Rehab Katy has completed a number of internships and mentorship opportunities, and has completed continuing education certification for therapeutic handling, wheelchair fitting/management, canine acupressure techniques and small animal CPR and first aid.

Katy has a passion for empowering her clients, and loves nothing more than watching their confidence return as they move through the rehabilitation process. She believes that education is paramount to success and strives to provide the best resources available to her patients and their owners to help them achieve their individual goals.

Outside of work Katy enjoys spending her free time with her husband Russell, and their three rescue dogs Tobias, Beluga, and Moose. Russell and Katy are both Colorado natives, and the whole family is happiest when they are togther exploring and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer.

Welcome to Northern Colorado Canine Rehab! We are passionate about dogs, and are proud to offer state of the art Physical Therapy + Rehabilitation, Wellness and Educational services to enhance their lives. Our highest priority is to maximize the quality of life for our canine patients and their owners, and strengthen the therapeutic bond between them.

We offer consultation and treatment at our Berthoud office location, in your home throughout Northern Colorado, and via web based telehealth appointments. Each of our patients receives an individualized care plan and 24/7 access to the Doctor with questions/concerns.

Physical therapists can be very beneficial to address a wide variety of conditions and diagnoses, including geriatric/age related disease processes, pain, post surgical rehab, conservative management of orthopedic issues, neurologic conditions, sport specific rehab, wound management etc.

Our therapist loves difficult and complex cases, so if you aren’t sure if your animal is an appropriate candidate, reach out!
